Scymaris welcomes Business Development Director, Marijke Millenaar to the team

We are thrilled to welcome Marijke Millenaar to the Scymaris team.

Upon graduating with an MSc in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of Wageningen in the Netherlands, Marijke joined her family’s enterprise, a company known for developing innovative products for the C. elegans research community.

Marijke moved on to roles within CRO’s that allowed her to strengthen her experience in toxicology, ecotoxicology, and environmental fate, significantly broadening her expertise and understanding of the impact of chemicals on both health and the environment.

Her career path led her to a CDMO, where she played a crucial role in the manufacturing of drug products for both clinical trials and commercial markets. This experience added a new dimension to her professional portfolio, blending scientific knowledge with practical applications in drug production.

In August 2024, Marijke made a return to the CRO sector by joining Scymaris as a Business Development Director. In this role, she leverages her extensive background in biotechnology, safety assessment, and pharmaceutical manufacturing to drive growth within the company, and to deliver excellence in client services.

On joining the team here, Marijke stated "I am very excited about joining Scymaris and I look forward to working together with our experts to advise and assist our existing and new clients with their projects and testing requirements."
