Tom is an analytical chemist with 15 years of experience in environmental research. He has a particular focus on method development and validation, physical chemistry and environmental fate studies, calling on extensive experience working with both radio-labelled and non-radio-labelled test compounds, using GC-MS/FID, LC-MS/MS, HPLC/UV/RAD, radio TLC and quantitative radiochemical techniques. Tom also conducts the structural elucidation of unknown transformation products using Scymaris’ suite of orbitrap high resolution mass spectrometers.

Tom is an experienced study director having run a large number of regulatory method validations, physical chemistry (e.g. OECD 105, 107, 111, 123) and environmental fate studies (e.g. OECD 106, 307, 308, 309) to support the registration of agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, personal care products and industrial chemicals (under REACH).
