Fernando has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, and a PhD in the synthesis and characterisation of polymers for biomedical applications from University of São Paulo. Fernando worked for several years as an analytical chemist and has extensive experience in method development/method validation in a GMP/GLP environment, using HPLC-UV, HPLC-CAD, HPLC-MS, GC-FID, GC-MS, FTIR and NMR techniques. Fernando also gained experience on providing analytical chemistry support to process chemistry activities, particularly for impurity identification and fate & purge studies.
