On the 27th April a team from Scymaris took on the exhilarating and unforgettable challenge of the Exeter Inflatable 5K - a unique inflatable obstacle course circuit with 16 different inflatable obstacles!
Deanna Westfold, Husbandry Team Leader, NACWO and NTCO, took on the challenge with her Scymaris team mates;
“Everyone arrived for the race around lunch time, and we all sat together with hot drinks as it was freezing cold! However, once the race began, we all soon warmed up. The obstacles were great fun, and everyone stuck together in teams throughout the race. The course was 2.5km so once we finished one lap, it was time to go back around and tackle the inflatables again- with only slightly less enthusiasm than the first time! The sun came out in the middle of the run, which gave us the extra motivation to finish the race. Despite all being tired by the end, there were smiling faces all around, followed by chips and a much-deserved pint.”
